This User Guide provides an overview of Invert's key features and functionalities.

Invert is a your comprehensive bioprocess data management solution, built for scientists and engineers working in the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology sector. At its core, Invert serves as a centralized hub for storing, managing, and analyzing bioprocess data from any unit operations - including run metadata, online and offline timeseries data, and process events.

Invert is equipped with a variety of tools for immediate analysis and visualization:

  • side-by-side comparison of historical and recent runs

  • cross-site and cross-scale comparisons of your upstream and downstream bioprocess data.

Table of Contents

Schedule (Link to Article, Link to Invert)

  • The Schedule page allows you to create and manage experiments. You can review and edit experiments, presented in a list or calendar view.

Import (Link to Article, Link to Invert)

  • The Import page is your gateway for bringing data into the app. Whether you're importing timeseries data, run data, event notes, or file attachments, this feature allows you to upload new data from a file or bulk update previously imported data.

Runs (Link to Article, Link to Invert)

  • The Runs page organizes runs in a table format and is your starting point for creating line and scatter charts. Narrow down the table view using the available filter options to quickly identify the runs relevant for your analysis.

Library (Link to Article, Link to Invert)

  • The Library page is where you can explore and manage metrics and formulas. Get an overview of the metrics and formulas available to you, create new entries or make adjustments as needed to maintain and improve data quality.

Search (Link to Article, Link to Invert)

  • The Search page allows you to find runs and experiments via the search bar. Use keywords, such as run names, metrics, or event notes to quickly generate a list of relevant matches for your query. Clicking a search result will bring you to the Run Summary page with options for data reviewing and editing.

Run Summary (Link to Article)

  • The Run Summary page contains all the information associated with a given run. Get a close-up view of run data, notes, lineage, attachments and event notes.

Analysis (Link to Article)

  • The Analysis page is your go-to destination for visualizing and analyzing your bioprocess data. Use line charts for analyzing timeseries data and add process annotations using the event feature. For non-time-based analysis, use scatter charts and take advantage of its aggregation feature and explore the distribution of a metric across different input categories.

Reports (Link to Article, Link to Invert)

  • The Reports page allows you to view and manage reports. Build a report from scratch or use an existing report as a template to tell the story behind your data using charts, run data tables and text blocks. Users can share their reports with colleagues and export graphs and associated data as PNG images or Excel files.
